From Atlantic Canada comes an Ambassador to the Monism mindset: Steve The Viking. With almost a decade of experience behind him, the Viking has been a key player in Atlantic Canada’s electronic music scene, including a yearly showcase at Nova Scotia’s reputable Evolve Festival, playing alongside the likes of Mark Farina, The Jungle Brothers, and of course Monism’s MO7S. The two became great friends since their meeting at the 2005 Evolve Festival, romping thru the Maritimes with what would inspires Monism’s first MO7S release: King Claw, reminiscent of an epic journey thru the tributaries entering the Atlantic near Northumberland Straight.

With quirky funk and sassy Bass Fueled Beats, Steve the Viking’s style focuses combining the ambiguity of minimal, the power of techno, and the funk of house and breaks to present an eclectic sound that is sure to leave a lasting impression. He will be making his very first appearance in Hollywood this November, where he will perform at Reid Speed’s Boom Room @ Arena, alongside fellow Ultrasound Collective resident Mizz Maxine, MO7S & Brian Thomas.
