• NULLSPACE – INTO THE NIGHT EP – OUT NOW!

I am very proud to announce to you the next release from Monism Music for personal reasons. As a very close friend and fellow production geek I have always felt that Nullspace has been destined for great things with his production work. After introducing him to the Monism Music team, it was a must to sign his material. After listening to the “Into The Night EP” for the first time, I knew it was necessary to get a proper remix from another one of our favorites. OUTSIDER! WE PRESENT TO YOU, MONISM 008! Congratulations Mike, I am proud to have part in your first of many releases. [MELEE]

Nullspace “Into the Night EP” MONISM008 by monismmusic

From the cavernous depths of a long hiatus from action comes Monism 8, celebrating the first release of Boston native Michael Andrews (aka Null Space).

The Space Music (www.di.fm) curator and technological guru has long been fascinated with the sounds of Minimal Techno mixed with his deep appreciation for quality Ambient and atmospherics. His first outing is nothing short of a nod to his mentors, whilst pushing the gambit for North American Minimal and Tech House.

Zusa is the main cut with a killer groove, trippy vocal snippets and sounds, and a rolling bassline sure to put you in shift mode; by far the most maximal of all the cuts. Second comes Shimmer, down a more minimal vein with plush pads and a nice round bassline. It could easily be seen in crates from Minimal mad men to those big Prog jocks all in one evening.

Reale goes into underwater techno land, familiar to those that follow Joel Mull’s Inside Recordings. Pumping filler with big sounds make this great genre segue material.

To close up the In To The Night EP, two remixes of Zusa from old school master of tech, Outsider. From the days of Junior Boys own, comes one half of the former Peace Division, from Kingsize to Blue Black to Lot 49, the list goes on, as does the outfit known to us as Outsider. Swinging beats and percolating keys rock the first mix into a dancefloor frenzy, whilst MKII focuses on the original bass line groove. Both mixes are incredible for peak hour floors.

  • Pacha Disco on Acid – (Dylan Rhymes Re-Aligned) FREE DOWNLOAD

Here at Monism Music we are strong supporters of the LOT49 label and the people that are behind it for many reasons. We have followed the production of these folks since the days of Blue Black. Since those days, they have consistently crushed the Tech-Funk scene by bringing the masses nothing but the best across the genre spectrum. Together, we have drank the wine, smoked the smoke and shared the sound systems with these talented yet humble artists.  Even in the time of need, they have shared their experiences with advice to us in order to better refine our skills with music production and the industry. We are grateful for this. Be on the lookout for OUTSIDER’s remix of Monism artist Nullspace that will be dropping very soon!

With that said, anything that we can assist on pushing their work you will see come through our blogs and any other social networking outlets. DYLAN RHYMES presents a FREE DOWNLOAD of his re-alignment of the AfroJack Pacha on Acid with Seb Leger’s DiscoTechno. You can snatch it up below! Enjoy!

  • ODISSI DIRTY SECRETS ORIGINAL + RMXS BY DYNO AND HEDFLUX

Dance music’s reining princess of all things twisted returns to Lot49 with a follow up to her first solo release on the label, (Empty Vodka Bottles), which was unleashed on the dance scene last September.

‘Dirty Secrets’ is a naughty techno perversion of an original rock track taken from her Sex & Circuitry project album which was produced alongside guitarist Jim Davies, better known for his axe wielding in bands such as The Prodigy and Pitch Shifter.

Re-creating the original underground electro-rock anthem into something entirely different, and far more fucked up, Odissi takes back her lyrics and flawlessly transforms the initial idea into a brooding, industrial electro monster.

True to her signature sound, she once again injects her music with her sleazy and sultry spoken word vocals, this time in a poetic description of Soho’s vibrant red light district, transvestites, gay bars and seedy brothels.

On the Remix duties, Lot49 has appropriately called in one of the hottest names from Italy’s bubbling underground techno scene, Dyno. Equally known for his love of dark techy grooves, Dyno strips back the vocal and dubs it out, twisting the original into something that wouldn’t sound amiss as the soundtrack to an S&M Orgy. Sleazy and gritty synths roll along tight and driving drums and disorienting guitar stabs. Late night dancefloor headfuckery guaranteed.

For those like the tempo pushed a little harder there’ s also a remix by Hedflux who as of late has been creating quite a buzz with his fresh and distinctive flavor or cerebral tech-funk. In his remix of “Dirty Secrets” he stays true to his sound, drawing on energy from breaks, techno and psychedelic styles, resulting in a fusion of deep driving bass grooves, thumping drops and intricate neon synth-play.
